As an Assistant Professor in Baylor University's Department of Communication, Kayla uses narrative analysis to examine health advocacy, amplify the stories of individuals living with stigmatized diagnoses, and address health disparities through community-engaged, interdisciplinary research. This work spans the humanities and STEM fields, connecting with colleagues across disciplines to develop innovative approaches to understanding and addressing health inequities.
