Raising Texas Voices Video Survey
We want to hear from Texans with disabilities and the people who know, love, support, and work alongside them.
The Raising Texas Voices video survey is a short and flexible way for people across Texas to share their thoughts, experiences, and hopes about disability, advocacy, speaking up, and what they want others to understand.
You can answer one question or more than one. You can prepare ahead of time, record on any device with a camera, and re-record until you are comfortable.
The video survey asks questions about speaking up, advocacy, what would make life better for people with disabilities, and what people with disabilities deserve.
Participation is voluntary. You can pick your questions, stop at any time, or decide not to submit a video. Submitted videos will help Texans better understand the experiences, priorities, and voices of people with disabilities and those who support them.
Sample Questions:
How do you like to speak up or advocate for yourself or others? Why?
What does advocacy mean to you? Why is it important?
What would you like to change to make life better or easier for people with disabilities?
Share about a time when you spoke up or advocated for yourself or someone else. What happened?
What is one thing you wish others knew about people with disabilities?

Pick the option below that best describes the person who will be sharing their thoughts in the video.

All options will take you to the video survey. It will ask a few questions so we know who is recording the video, who is completing the form, and who is giving permission.
